Redi Village is dotted with plenty of coconut cashew and coconut trees. Redi is considered as a tourist hub because of its pleasant unspoiled beaches and also known for Yashwantgad Fort, the archaic historic monument.
Redi Ganesh temple has a unique story of its foundation in Sindhudurg. Sadanand Nagesh Kambali a truck driver parked his truck on a particular spot and had a dream of Lord Ganesh giving him divine appearance and instructing him to dig at this place.
He started digging and to everyone’s surprise they saw two handed idol of Lord Ganesha carved in a solid rock. After seeking omen from Gram–Devata the temple of Redi Ganesh was built by the villagers with a big idol of Mouse who is considered to be the vehicle of Lord Ganesh. These idols are very pretty and graceful.
